Is A Corporate Jet Charter Package The Ideal Option For Your Company's Needs?

By Fran J. Bush

Although it seems like it wouldn't be that difficult of a decision, there are good reasons to opt for either type of travel and picking the right one can depend on numerous factors, which call for careful thought and deliberation.

Business trips account for a large percentage of most company budgets, you must carefully weigh all of your options rather than making a rash decision based on a general price, keep in mind the old adage "you get what you pay for". One of your best choices includes a privately owned plane, as convenient as this option is, the upfront cost can be extreme. Your next option is paid for by the time spent in flight, with several other fees that can factor in throughout the trip, and while it isn't a multimillion dollar investment, it could sometimes end up costing you a good deal, depending on how often you use it.

On many levels, the main benefit to owning your very own jet come from the convenience of having complete and total control over how and when you take your trips, and if you find that you are flying an abundant amount of hours each year, it could actually pay off for you to take this route. However, if you aren't the only executive who has to use the aircraft and if there are many occasions where you and your colleagues are taking separate trips all at the same time, paying all that money to only have access to one jet isn't going to do your company a whole lot of good.

When your travel is relatively predictable, and only involves a few individuals, or occurs infrequently you may want to consider the other option, which is chartering a plane only when you need it. In many situations you can prepay for a specific amount of flight hours on a card and then have those hours available almost instantly throughout the year.

There are actually a long list of other things that should be taken into consideration when you are attempting to make a decision like this, like the distances you will be travelling and what kind of fuel costs you'll be looking at paying. No matter what your requirements are, choosing between owning an aircraft and using a corporate jet charter is one decision that must be made carefully.

For example, you should keep clothing in order, according to season, this way the ones for the present season are easy to get to, while the ones for other seasons are harder to get to. In order to keep it out of the way, as well as fresh and clean, you may opt for storing your articles of clothing that you will not be wearing for a season, in vacuum sealed plastic bags.

To change the entire atmosphere of your home, the one thing that will make a big difference, is to reorganize your kitchen. City Breaks in the UK

By Neil Jones

If you are travelling to London for a city break then you are not only on the verge of experiencing the wonders of one of the major metropolitan centres of the world but also the world famous hospitality of London hotels. London hotels have, for a very long time, been some of the best known and most appreciated hotels on the planet simply because of the quality of their services and facilities. However, even though the majority of hotels in London provide great services, you need to choose where you will stay.

The reason for this is simply the fact that different types of hotels provide different types of experiences or, on a more specific note, different types of facilities. Hence, even though the majority of hotels in London are celebrated the world over, at the end of the day you will need to choose a hotel London that facilitates your city break in the best way possible.

The most important aspect of choosing the best of the numerous London hotels is the proximity of the hotel to all the activities you plan to do and the places you plan to go to. No person in his sane mind would prefer to travel through the whole of London to get to wherever he is going. For example, if you wish to experience some activities related to the Thames, then it would be prudent for you to choose a hotel that is located near the river.

Similarly, if you wish to experience the history of London, then you would do well to stick to hotels near the centre of the city because that is where the major historical landmarks such as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and even the HMS Belfast is located. Therefore, in the simplest of words, you need to plan your city break in terms of what you are going to do and then select the hotel on the basis of how near it is to your destinations.

The city of London has a wide variety of hotels for travellers coming from other parts of the country or from abroad. Most hotels in London can be easily categorized into three different groups. These are the luxury hotels, the budget hotels and the business hotels. As is obvious, the services of different types of hotels will vary on the basis of the kind of clientele that they cater to.

Luxury hotels are usually for people who like the opulence and extravagance. These hotels would contain a wide variety of luxurious services that are aimed at giving their guests the royal treatment.

Alternatively, budget hotels look to cater to people who are on shoestring or low budgets but still wish to visit the city of London. The business hotels of London, as is obvious, are for people who are in the city to conduct business which is why they focus on business facilities.

London hotels from all the categories mentioned are known the world over for their ability to cater to the segment that they are catering to.

Keep Your Vehicles Safer Using Electronic Deer Whistles

By Jeff Smith

A few months ago, a friend of ours hit a deer while riding his motorcycle - or rather the deer ran into him from the side. Luckily, there was no major damage to his body and head only a minor wound on his foot. Every weekend, he goes out pretty much, hence for the purpose of his having an electronic deer whistle repeller. Now, he says that every time he is on his bike and sees a deer ahead, he just uses the electronic gadget and the deer would just be still, rather than attempting to cross the road. He was very fortunate and now, he is taking every safety measure to prevent the accident from happening again. The deer are moving this time of year with the change of seasons coming.

Are deer the most common cause of vehicular accidents? Deer are drawn at the edge of the roads because of the tall lawn and plant life. Often when they move about, the roads are their common pathways. It is inherent in them when they feel a threat, they run in crisscross pattern. At nighttime also, headlights from vehicles render the deer temporary blindness thus the latter would panic and run at any direction.Dusk, several hours into the night and dawn are prime feeding times, so it is advantageous to be more watchful during these times of day.

A few extra tip for you to note on the deer patterns and ways to avoid them, regardless of the kind of vehicle you use is to be cautious above all whenever driving on two lane or rural roads. Our place is in the country. Every time we go out our house, we come across a deer or two and occasionally a herd. There are instances that packs search for food in the garden near the road. Normally when you see a deer, there are still many others out there, so drive slowly and be alert for deer crossings. To make the motorists aware of the preferred trail that deer usually take is the point of installing deer crossing signs on certain parts of the road. When traveling at night, one thing we keep an eye on are cars with flashing lights that can blind your vision. The term "caught like a deer in the headlights" comes from a deer 'freezing' from being blinded by the lights of a vehicle. Should it happen to you, signal at the approaching car by blinking your lights.

For defensive driving of motorcycles, the helmet is the most recommended by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. To guard your face from stones and insects flying towards you, there should be a shield on your helmet. A wind protector or sunglass is not enough to give you security on your ride.Make sure that the face shield is securely fastened to the helmet, scratch free because scratches can refract light and blur vision, use a tinted shield during the day and a clear one at night. Wear something cumbersome over the ankle boots to aid in burn prevention from exhaust pipes and less contact from flying road debris. Our friend had on sturdy boots and the doctor told him it helped to minimize his injury. Boots that give you a good hold on the foot pegs is what you should wear.

Use a fine pair of thick gloves to shield your hands from the heat of the sun, wind, cold and blisters. In case of accidents, it can also prevent bruises, cuts and abrasions. A body gear made of leather or abrasion resistant fabric is what you should wear to avoid or reduce the extent of damage in case you crash. Deer horns on your car, you have. How about on your motorbike? You must have it as well because when you are on your bike, you are most vulnerable to elements of the outside, and this is crucial to your added safety. Have a pleasant ride without the hassles of getting into deer-related accidents.

My Day at the Living Desert

By Mitchell Sussman

On your next trip to Palm Springs and the California desert cities, take a wildlife safari at the Living Desert. There you can encounter wildlife in its natural habitat. They also have animals and plants that flourish in the desert from all around the world.

Formerly the Living Desert Museum, today it is a public desert botanical garden and a zoo located in Palm Desert, California. They are in the Sonoran Desert of the Coachella Valley and Santa Rosa Mountains foothills near Palm Springs, California.

As originally envisioned the Living Desert consisted of gardens of the low desert and of the high desert. The low desert gardens of the Colorado Desert, was established in 1970 as a 360 acre wilderness preserve. By 1974 the gardens housed a kit fox, tortoises, lizards, and two bighorn sheep. In 1975 the Mojave Garden was built as a replica of the high desert.

Additional facilities have gradually been constructed, including greenhouses, model trains, and designed landscapes gardens. Animals include: rhim gazelles, mountain lions, bobcats and badgers, meerkats, cheetahs, warthogs, striped hyenas, giraffes and ostriches.

The "Amphibians on the Edge" exhibit shows a variety of different species of frogs, toads, and salamanders and is a favorite of the little ones. A Endangered Species Carousel was constructed in fall 2009, and the Peninsular Pronghorn exhibit was constructed in fall 2010.

If you like a little more adventure, an attraction where you can ride on camels is really fun for young and old. Unfortunately, I understand that it is scheduled to be replaced by a jaguar exhibit in the spring 2011.

Today, the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens are the only American zoo and botanic garden combination dedicated solely to the deserts of the world. The programs provide: environmental education; native wildlife rehabilitation; plant propagation and habitat restoration; and captive breeding of African and Sonoran Desert species, including the area's iconic Desert Bighorn Sheep.

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is a great stop on your next vacation to Palm Springs and the California desert resort cities.
