The way hotels are divided and classified is a mystery for most of us. The star system has been designed to serves as a guide for tourists that are looking for a specific degree of services. Only famous and expensive hotels are usually ranked the same by all travel agencies because there are no international guidelines. Generally, when wanting to book into less famous hotel accommodations, you will be surprised to find them raked by a traveling agency as a five start hotel, by another as a four star and by yet another as a six star hotel. If you want to travel within you own country, then you must know that the hotel starring system you local hotels are rated by is valid for all travel agencies.
