Gorilla Walking from the Rainforest

All right, it might not be as relaxing as bedding in hotel edison in new york but, a remote pocket of rainforest within Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the south west of Uganda houses 50 percent of the world's populace associated with endangered mountain gorillas. The Bwindi Park has become the most common region for gorilla safaris in Uganda and has now been announced a World Heritage Site. This particular park is made up of about 200 square miles of heavy rainforest and dense jungle vegetation - a perfect environment for the mountain gorillas.

The additional park which offers fantastic options for Uganda safaris is definitely the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This park can be found on the extreme southwest corner of Uganda on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains which also border Rwanda and also the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Irrespective of which park you visit, gorilla treks inside Uganda provides you with a fabulous once in a lifetime experience. The thrilling excitment associated with trekking throughout the dense foliage while you track the Uganda gorillas is a never soon to be forgotten. On your forest tracks; you may even encounter a number of the additional natural inhabitants in the region, such as various bird types, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, bush buck, duiker and perhaps even leopard.

Trips to the family groups of gorillas usually are limited to 8 people per group and the visit typically will last one hour. The trek is fairly challenging, however as soon as you come into close proximity with these gentle distant relatives of ours, the labours in the trip are quickly forgotten. Relaxing in quiet observation of the Uganda gorillas as they set about their day to day life, playing, eating and caring as well as nurturing their young, it is a truly enchanting experience.
