Glasgow is Scotland's largest city as well as being one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK. It is also known as an extremely friendly city and even though the people sometimes seem shy, they always make you feel welcome. Every year, over 3 million travellers visit Glasgow, drawn by its cultural influences and the huge variety of activities to enjoy on short breaks here. Best of all, you'll find an amazing variety of Glasgow hotels that fit every budget.

Glasgow has more gardens and parks per capita than most other European cities. These breathtaking, lush areas provide the perfect setting for a place to relax and socialise on peaceful sunny days, or even star filled nights. Glasgow is a great city for night life and is one of the liveliest destinations in the UK. It offers literally hundreds of unique night clubbing opportunities, spread all over the city. You'll find everything from stylish bars to rock bars that draw the younger crowds. You'll also find plenty of trendy cafes where you can sit, enjoy a pastry and people watch for hours. There is also a delicious variety of restaurants offering anything from traditional Scottish dishes to Asian cuisine.

In 1990, Glasgow was chosen as the European city of culture, which says a lot about what it has to offer its visitors on their breaks. Transportation around the city is ample and very affordable. You'll find a variety of buses and both low and high level trains. You can hop on a train and spend the day by the sea, and be back in time to do some partying in the city at night. Best of all, you have easy access to all transportation from most hotels.
