The Sunshine Coast is the least commercial beachfront area making it the perfect stay for those shying away from the main tourist beaches located on the Gold Coast. If you have chosen the Sunshine Coast for your next holiday you will not be disappointed as the area is lovely, filled with things to do, and has a wide variety of accommodations to choose from.

When traveling to the Sunshine Coast you really have only two main choices. You can fly into the Brisbane Airport and then pick up a car hire in Brisbane and drive to the Sunshine Coast or you can pick up a connecting flight in Brisbane and fly into the Sunshine Coast airport. And while you may wish to fly directly into the Sunshine Coast for convenience sake the drive to the Sunshine Coast will allow you to see many sights around the area that you might otherwise miss if you just simply fly in.

Naturally it also would depend on the length of time you'll be staying in this location, since if you only have a couple of days to spend on the attractive shores of the coast then you are going to more than likely select a more straight forward way of getting there. If you have a little extra time though, you are going to more than likely find that the trip down the coast is incredible and well worth taking a couple of added hours for.

While traveling from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast your main path of travel will be down the beautiful Bruce Highway. This incredible highway trip is just around an hour and a half of actual drive time, which means that if you arrive in Brisbane in the morning and stop to see numerous sights along the way then you can still be able to reach the Sunshine Coast by dinnertime.

While driving along this scenic route you may even wish to stop and take a few photos because these are one of a kind views that you can't see anywhere else. And once you arrive at your Sunshine Coast accommodations keep in mind that you can at any point travel further along the Bruce Highway even taking it to the Great Barrier Reef and other attractions further north.
