Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura was mainly designed to serve as a tourist destination, and the region boasts of round the year sunshine with almost no rainfall, making it an ideal destination to soak up the sun.

Caleta de Fuste's large beach is made up of golden sand that was specially bought into the region for this very purpose, and unlike many other man made beaches this one has remained intact over time.

Caleta de Fuste has some great beach facing hotels that one can choose from and the Sheraton and the Elba Carlotta are part of the increasing number of luxury hotels in the region.

The beaches that line the coast of Caleta de Fuste were made by lagoons being created where solid rock once stood.

Transportation isn't a problem and one can hop on a bus and get to Puerto Del Rosario in around 20 minutes. Also, even though there aren't too many taxis in Caleta, they are fairly easy to come by.

The last couple of years have witnessed a significant growth in he region, and apart from the wide range of hotels and holiday apartments to choose from, the region also boasts of two 18 hole golf courses.

Besides, many of the hotels/resorts offer a number of activities for their guests to indulge in keeping in mind various age groups.

Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura is also called El Castillo, Caleta, and Costa Caleta and this often leads to some confusion amongst the regions many visitors.

With a lot on offer in terms of beautiful locales as well as things to do, one thing you can be sure of is that one will go back home with pictures one's friends/family would love as well as some great memories.
