Denzel Washington's Finest Acting Performances In His Career

By Brian Jones

There are few actors in this day and age that have as impressive a resume as the great Denzel Washington. There is a lot to like about this incredibly talented actor, and it certainly goes beyond his charm. Denzel manages to play a number of different types of roles, and at this point in time, seems to have the pick of the litter when it comes to choosing his scripts.

Here is a list of my top 5 favorite movies starring Denzel Washington.

I will begin with the role that finally nabbed Mr. Washington the Oscar he deserved. In the Antoine Fuqua directed film Training Day, Denzel plays the corrupt cop Detective Alonzo Harris, who makes for quite the entertaining villain.

Another great movie in this amazing actor's catalogue is the 1993 drama Philadelphia. This is an incredible film about overcoming differences and pitting people of different ideals on the same side of the fence.

While it certainly did not receive critical acclaim, one movie that I thoroughly enjoyed was The Bone Collector. Mr. Washington plays a detective in this movie chasing after a gruesome serial killer, who (as the title would suggest) collects bones from his victims.

One of my favorite Denzel Washington movies, and one of my overall favorite action films is without a doubt, Man On Fire. Directed by Tony Scott, all you have to know about this film is Denzel is bent on revenge and will take it out on the streets of Mexico City.

If you have not seen Remember The Titans yet, it should be high up on your list. If you are a fan of sports films, there is no excuse not to see this one.

As it stands, this is my Denzel Washington best of list. But as the years go on, the man continues to churn out quality films and as such, I may have to reevaluate after a few years.

A Variety Of The Greatest Films By The Adventurous Director, Tony Scott

By Eric Richards

One director who quietly flies under the radar is Tony Scott. He is quite different in his filmmaking from his better-known brother, Ridley Scott. Tony Scott is not the type of director to get nominated for Academy Award. He is the type of director who will put out awesome action movies that do well at the box office.

Let's discuss some of the better Tony Scott films from throughout the years.

True Romance is one film that certainly makes the cut for me. This is one of the most underrated films from the early nineties and in my opinion, the best Christian Slater film of his career.

Man On Fire with Denzel Washington is another great film. Denzel is as good as it gets as the hero who plays by his own rules in this film. Dakota Fanning also is great as the supporting actress, although I always thought that swimming was an odd sport choice for her.

Crimson Tide is another awesome Tony Scott film. Like Man On Fire, this movie also stars Denzel Washington. Gene Hackman plays a controversial character in this film and this movie is as suspenseful as any film I have seen in recent memory.

Another fantastic film of Tony Scott's is Days Of Thunder. This movie was released in 1990, but in my opinion has the 1980s written all over it. Regardless, this is a great racing movie starring Tom Cruise.

Finally, one movie that cannot be left off this list is Top Gun. This 1986 cult classic stars Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer as fighter pilots and is easily one of the more quotable films of its time.

As it stands, this is the Tony Scott best-of list. I am holding out hope for Unstoppable, which looks awesome and also stars Denzel Washington. Excessive much?

The optimal Gold Coast Fishing Charter Points

By Jacque Claire

If perhaps one is pondering a Gold Coast fishing charter boat then it could be worthwhile considering a few or many of the hints throughout this particular quick review. While the commentary in this report are aimed primarily around offshore fishing tours and charters around the Australian Gold Coast they can certainly be applied to almost all Australian fishing charters and breaks

To start off with it is worthwhile contemplating the common choices that are pertinent to a good number of Gold Coast fishing Boat charters. The vast majority of charters are generally accessible seven days a week, particularly for the extent of the holiday periods. For the purpose of people undertaking a full day or morning hours charter it is thought that they arrive at the harbour before dawn from their Gold Coast accommodation. Granted that the vast majority of charter boat customers tend to be on vacation all gear and bait tend to be supplied. Almost all Gold Coast fishing charters are going to differ yet most will have some type of food and refreshments.

The questions you should ask could no doubt differ dependent on an individual's degree of fishing experience, nevertheless most certainly there are usually not one but two leading questions. The main thing is the fishing boat, make sure to inquire about the vessel as well as its onboard facilities and the second thing is, exactly what kind of fishing might be tackled?

So just what are the vessel options provided by Gold Coast fishing charter companies? It is quite definitely a situation of you get what you shell out with respect to terms of boat level of quality and features, and they can vary from all sorts commencing from the more compact alloy motorboats through to the quick plus eye-catching catamarans and the function designed single hulled reef fishing vessels.

Both of the larger boat types have got their features with the larger mono hulled fishing vessels having been especially designed for fishing holidays and are generally regularly considered a lot more suited to rougher oceans. The bigger catamarans and aluminium vessels are normally quicker but really do not feature the same degree of travelling comfort and ease. This suffering is undoubtedly apparent in heavier oceans and may be somewhat unpleasant for newcomers.

Speed is obviously a huge marketing point for a number Gold Coast fishing charter corporations and it is well worthwhile taking into account however it should constantly be mentioned that the ocean away from of the sheltered harbour are not likely to be as tranquil as inside. That's good provided your body is used to the suffering of an uneven journey and the skipper has adequate knowledge on where to go for you to hook the fish.

Certain charters may perhaps also inform you that the fishing boat tour is just a quick distance to arrive at the reef fishing sites. This is certainly possible but be alert that a majority of these closer reefs have generally already been overfished in earlier times and catches might be minimal. It is worth posing the questions simply because in the event that this closer option is actually more focused on conserving fuel not to mention time in preference to a brilliant fishing encounter.

In might be worth remembering that given the large numbers of travellers that travel to the Queensland Gold Coast for vacations that many of the sport fishing boat charters are put together for beginner fishing. In case you really are somebody with a lot of fishing knowledge or even perhaps include some specific target fish in mind, you could possibly need to adapt your expectations.

In a perfect world it is advisable to organise a complete day Gold Coast fishing charter because this allows for the charter providers to present more fishing destinations. Naturally, a full day booking facilitates for way more time to voyage to far more far-away as well as less fished destinations.

Definitely be advised that the vast majority of Gold Coast fishing charter tours are quite professional yet "cowboy" captains do occasionally come and go. Definitely the recommended procedure to book your Gold Coast fishing charter boat happens to be to seek out a fishing boat and captain who appears to have been in business for a number of years. All these Gold Coast fishing charter skippers have an understanding of the places to fish as well as most essentially, they know their fishing vessels.
