Jamaica Family Resorts All Inclusive Advice

By Barbara Lee

It can be tough to find a vacation that appeals to every member of the family. While parents may wish some peace and quiet, kids prefer to run around and be entertained every waking hour. Budgeting for restaurants in a new town and catering for the sometimes selective palate of a child also can cause headaches. Travel to Jamaica family resorts all inclusive and these worries will disappear.

One of the most popular Caribbean islands, Jamaica has much to offer its visitors. Golden sands, rain forests, historic plantations and a host of sailing, snorkeling and other sports are just some of the adventures to be found here. On the north side of the pretty island there are hotels a-plenty hugging the shoreline from Ocho Rios to Negril through Runaway Bay and the famous Montego Bay.

When you are travelling with children, the transfer time from the airport to your chosen hotel can be a deciding factor. Children who are tired and grumpy after a long flight will be even grumpier after a 4 hour coach ride to the resort. There are two main airports which serve the island, Kingston and Montego Bay, so try to book so that you fly into the one nearest your chosen destination.

Although your complex might have everything you need daily, there is much to see for those wanting to explore. A very popular activity is to climb Dunn's River Falls which is near the town of Ocho Rios. If you are hoping to visit all major attractions then you might look at staying in Montego Bay area which has a small selection of all inclusive properties but is central and transfers from the airport are short.

Whichever area you choose, the beaches are long, sandy and offer opportunities for all manner of water based activities. Hotels will often offer some of these as part of your package. Their website should have a list of facilities on-site and a note of what is included.

One activity which is likely to be an extra is scuba diving. The Caribbean is a popular destination for divers thanks to the clear water and variety of marine life. If your resort does not offer this and you want to try then contact local dive centers for rates.

After selecting which part of the island you wish to stay, your choice of hotel might be limited by budget. As with all things, higher quality and amenities command higher prices. There are offers to be found online to maximize your budget as some places may offer deals for kids. Careful research and use of review sites should lead you to an ideal resort at a price that suits.

The majority of properties will have baby sitting services, regular nightly entertainment, kids clubs and even a water park. There are even hotels where the children's entertainment is based on a well known TV show. Some hotels have offers for families such as upgrades to suites of free places for a 3rd child so you are bound to find a great deal on this glorious island paradise.
