Vacations In France

Taking your holidays in France will definitely not be a disappointing experience as it offers you everything that you have ever dreamed off. France is famed for its splendid cities, stunning beaches, magnificent mountains, striking nature and richness in art and architecture. It moreover has first class restaurants, excellent wines and very friendly people. France is one of the most visited destinations in the world, and many people love to take their vacation in France. With splendid cities such as Paris and Nice, it is hard not to.

France will offer any tourist many fantastic places to visit. You will also be happy to know that France always ranks among the top European vacation destinations. The area directly surrounding Paris is well thought of by many to be one of the top regions to visit when scheduling a vacation in France. This region is better known as 'le de France, and has many wonderful forests, rivers and parks. While here, you will furthermore have the chance to visit the Palace of Versailles and Euro Disney.

The region of northern France goes by the name of Haute-Normandie, and includes places such as Dieppe, Rouen and Le Havre. This is a beautiful area that is chosen by many to enjoy their vacations in. The south-west of France is also well known for its beaches, pine woods and sand dunes. It is a very popular area for those wanting to bathe in the sun, camping and biking. Rhone-Alpes is one of the most striking regions for tourists and skiers to visit when taking vacations to France. This area hosts many top ski destinations such as Le Grande Massif, Portes du Soleil, St. Gervais, Chamonix, Les Contamine Mont Joie, Megeve, Les Trois Vallees, and Val D'Isere. This region is a paradise for skiers. Mt Blanc, which is the top peak in Europe, can also be easily accessed from Chamonix, a very well-liked mountain town. Lyon is well known for it cookery, and the lively cultural scene in this area attracts many tourists. Annecy is a city known for its little channels and streams with fresh waters flowing through them.

If you are planning a holiday in France, you should beyond doubt not miss one of the most trendy holiday regions - Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. This area stretches from the very charismatic Provence all the way up to the Alps. The city of Nice is also one of the most popular holiday destinations in the district. The city of Sisteron is enclosed by striking landscapes, and is referred to as the "city of sunshine" as it enjoys 300 days of sunshine throughout the year.

Midi-Pyrenees is a magnificent part of south-west France that contains a lot of admirable castles, tourist sites and cities. The well known Toulouse is the capital of this area and the key tourist destination of the district. There are over one thousand castles in Dordogne, another common tourist attraction in the area.

Vacations in France remain ever so popular, and as you can see, there are plenty of reasons for any tourist to visit this beautiful country in Europe.
