Monuments Throughout Miami

There are some great monuments in Miami that are listed on the U.S. list of Nationwide Historic Landmarks, a wonderful list of suggestions for anyone that is trying to find unique places to go visit and has a want to discover more about the history of the United States.

Freedom Tower

Sometimes thought of as the most well known of the Miami monuments is Freedom Tower. Frequently referred to as the Ellis Island of Miami, Freedom Tower is where many Cubans came to immigrate to the U. S.. The tower was donated to Miami Dade College and is now used often to host art items. This landmark is located in the center of Miami is picturesque and an ideal spot for photographs.

Miami Biltmore Hotel and Members Club

The Miami Biltmore is a luxury like no other. The spa services, the perfectly maintained golf course, acclaimed dining experiences (for example Palme d'Or, which was ranked best overall experience by Zagat), the Biltmore Culinary Academy (where celebrity chefs give hands on lessons to guests), all blend to give an elegant and refined experience for any visitor.

Ferdinand Magellan-United States Car No. 1

One of the Miami monuments that's at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum is the Ferdinand Magellan, the first official Presidential Rail Car. While the interior of the train is now not available for public viewing the long history of this car makes it an important part of American History. This vehicle was one of the last few surviving private train cars that were ever built and the train car is the only passenger car on the list of National Historic Landmarks. The Gold Coast Railroad Museum is an inexpensive and fascinating place to swiftly learn much about American History. Anybody with a deep interest in trains will have a good time having a hands on experience with the retired train cars and a great opportunity to ride some of the trains that have been revived by the general public.

The Miami Circle At Brickell Point Site

This landmark is an archaeological locale of the Tequesta Indians from 2000 years back. A perfect circle cut into the rock is a site to behold. The park is quiet and totally open, featuring a unique waterfront and a great place for a an enjoyable afternoon inside the busy Miami area. This is one of the most recent monuments in Miami to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. Tours of the burial sites are guided by the Historic Museum of Southern Florida.

Vizcay Museum And Gardens

Monuments in Miami like the Vizcay Museum and Gardens, give the culture of Miami its unique aesthetic. This museum belongs to Miami-Dade county and the stunning architecture and plants make it a fabulous location for novice and experienced photographers alike. Vizcay Museum And Gardens are full of stunning unique and exotic plants that are maintained marvellously. There is an open air house has been the home of several influential Americans over history and rebuilt multiple times with splendid accouterments each time.
