Las Vegas Sports Books - The Top 5

By Tommy Lorenzo

Whether it's Las Vegas for Super Bowl, March Madness, or any other day of sports betting, most everyone has a favorite spot to watch and bet sports in Las Vegas. While some Vegas visitors will simply place a sports or horse racing bet at the hotel they are staying at for convenience, others will scope out which sports book has the best HD screens, most open seating, or perhaps the most lenient free drink policy.

All this means is that the quality of most sports books in Las Vegas is very high and it's hard to have bad sports viewing/betting experience in Sin City. But which sports books offer truly exceptional experiences for the Las Vegas sports fan? That's where The Vegas Parlay comes in with our list of the Top 5 Las Vegas Sports Books.

5. VENETIAN Swanky seating areas and high-end crystal clear screens all set within the elegance of the Venetian makes this sports book one of the best in Las Vegas. This is one of the nicest of all of the Cantor-operated sports books in town and gets quite a crowd during NFL Sundays and other big sports days so be an early bird in order to get a good seat. The only Cantor operated sports book to make our Top 5 list, there are no free drinks here, but that is the only negative to an otherwise beautiful and classy sports book

4. BELLAGIO Sitting in the oversized leather captain's chairs (the most comfortable sports book seats in all of Vegas) offers that particularly quiet pleasure that's inflected into the Bellagio's sports book space. With easy-to-get comped drinks, wonderful service, and multiple screens, The Bellagio sports book is amongst the favorites of out of town visitors and Vegas locals alike.

3. SOUTH POINT The secret is out that this is not just a locals hang out any longer. The South Point caters to sports and horse racing players with a sports book set up with two different areas for the ponies and sports. Free drinks are easy to come by here and the adjacent Del Mar Lounge is a spacious area to sit back, relax and enjoy all of the games. The Del Mar Deli is also close by for your food fix and if you want to go on the cheap, the 75-cent hot dogs at the Vienna hot dog cart are hard to beat.

2. LVH Not only the largest sports book in Las Vegas, but the largest sport book in the world, The LVH is in the top echelon of sports books in Sin City. All levels of sports bettors are catered to, whether it's the comped drinks or the "man-cave" areas reserved for VIPs - there is something for everyone here. Whether you bet on sports, watch sports, or both, a visit to the viewing parties in the 1500+ seat LVH Theater is a must-do. A great sports viewing experience for sure, The LVH is one of the best in town.

1. THE WYNN Classy and fun are two words to describe The Vegas Parlay's No.1 ranked Las Vegas sports book for 2013. Great service, posh furnishings, and a tastefully decorated space that lives up to Wynn standards makes this sports book one of the best in all of Las Vegas. Maintaining old school standards, The Wynn is the only sports book that provides a hostess to help you find a seat during busy sports days and the connected Zoozacrackers Deli will deliver their very tasty food offerings right to your sports book seat.

Just missing our list were Aria, Caesar's Palace, and Lagasse's Stadium - all solid choices. Complete reviews of the above listed sports books and over 30 other Las Vegas sports books can be found at The Vegas Parlay - The Las Vegas Sports Book Blog.
