By John McCree

We will all acknowledge that New York City has a wide variety of restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife venues to experience for the locals and tourists. Would you like to know about a few more places that you can visit in this great city? Certainly you have hookah in your thoughts or you wouldn't be here. Having said that, let us take this chance to fill you in on a few of the hookah hot spots in NYC!

New York City is full of hookah bars and lounges, which are furnished with a Middle Eastern style. You might find yourself sitting on velvet cushions, drinking mint tea while smoking the fragrant tobacco flavor of your liking. Almost all places have a selection of Mediterranean snacks such as Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, and Sambousik. According to the venue, they may only offer appetizers (Mezza) or you can sit down for a full meal and conclude your night with some tea and hookah. The setting may either be on the more tranquil side, which is excellent for lengthy discussions while passing the hookah hose around or you can choose to be in an upbeat setting with live music and belly dancers. Whatever the environment, you will get a terrific Middle Eastern experience.

The cost of the hookah varies according to the venue you have chosen and the brand of tobacco you have selected to smoke. You can also smoke tobacco from a fruit like orange, but it will definitely cost a little more. You can get hookahs for $12-$30 each.
