Enjoy Delicious Cuisine From Around The World On New York City Food Tours

There is no denying that Manhattan Island is one of the most exciting tourist destinations in the world. There are plenty of attractions for visitors to enjoy. The island also has a multitude of cultures in different parts of the island. It will come as no surprise that there is huge variety of cuisine from all over the globe, and joining New York City food tours can be a great way to experience Manhattan's cultural heritage.

The Little Italy area of Manhattan is a place that must be visited by anyone who loves Italian cuisine. It is possible to enjoy a wide range of Italian dishes. These include pizza's pasta dishes, paella all cooked in the traditional Italian way. Little Italy is on the lower east side of Manhattan island.

Close to Little Italy is Chinatown. This wonderfully vibrant area contains many excellent Chinese restaurants and street vendors selling delicious dishes much like they do in China! As this is a Chinese enclave all the Chinese dishes are incredibly authentic.

Little India is an ethnic enclave that is situated between 26th and 30th street on Lexinton Avenue. The cuisine here is very authentic and you can try the classic curry dishes as well as other dishes you may not be aware of. Such as the delicious masala dosai from South India. This is a crepe that is filled with a vegetable curry and served with a delicious coconut sauce. It is well worth trying out.

If you would like to try some cuisine that you may not be familiar with then you could head to the East Village. This area has a rich Ukrainian heritage and there are many Ukrainian restaurants where you can try this delicious and varied cuisine.

On your way to the east village on the lower east side on the corner of Rivington and Essex is a Dominican area. Here there is an excellent restaurant called El Castillo de la Jaguar, it boasts delicious home cooked breakfasts lunch and dinners best followed up with a piping hot cup of Dominican coffee. Just across Rivington and on the north side of Essex is Sugary Sweet Something that has quite possibly Manhattan's best cupcakes.

On a New York City food walking tour you will also learn more about the cultural history of the areas visited, as well as more about the cuisine and how it fits into the city's life. Tours will will start in the morning and visit many different areas of Manhattan. Or they may just visit one particular area at lunchtime or late afternoon, finishing with a meal in the evening.
