Styling Of The Ann Arbor Bed And Breakfast

By Anna Hernandez

Michigan is home to several attractions and events including the University of Michigan, the Burton Tower and Rackham. It is also the location of the Ann Arbor Bed and Breakfast. Giving all hotel guests a majestic view of the campus, each room is equipped with up-to-date amenities.

Every room includes a private bathroom, private parking and cable. Guests have the option of requesting a room with a kitchenette, folding table or extra beds at no cost. Although pets are not allowed, children over 10 years old are welcome at any time. Depending on the guest's preference, the room may include a queen or king size bed. All guest personal computers are hooked up to a printer.

Rooms with a kitchenette include a stove, refrigerator, a microwave and a sink. The loft has a spiral staircase, a king sized bed and a skylight. Located on the third floor, it was originally designed as a solarium with a floor to ceiling window and a private balcony that overlooks the south campus. With a full body shower and a tub, the bathroom also has skylights.

Families and large groups have the option of renting a 5-bedroom farmhouse one mile from the bed and breakfast. There are also five private bathrooms. Located in a wooded area, the guest will have the use of televisions in every room as well as one in the common area. The common area television is connected to a DVD player, BluRay player and wireless internet. Outside on the deck, there is a BBQ pit as well as a large country kitchen. There are no cleaning fees associated with the rental.

Home to the Ford Plant, hotel guests can take a Ford Rouge Factory tour. During the stay, visitors will be able to conduct a self-guided tour. The tour has five parts. The first part entails understanding the history of the rouge. This includes Henry Ford's dream of making it a self-sufficient plant. Next, using a multi-sensory system, onlookers will have the ability to witness vehicle manufacturing from a 360-degree angle.

In between meals, tourists will enjoy Walker Tavern. Sponsored by the Department of Natural Resources, Walker Tavern has a long history dating back to 1985. Originally designed as a road between Detroit and Chicago, Walker Tavern was officially named after its owner in 1843. Named an official historical landmark in 1958, this place holds memories for all natives.

Nature and art lovers can visit one of the many trails or museums. Just minutes from the bed and breakfast, the Ella Sharp of Art and History has five galleries and the most extensive collection of wildlife art in the Midwest. This venue also rents space for events.

There are several reasons for visiting Michigan. Regardless of the reason, staying at an Ann Arbor Bed and Breakfast makes the trip more exciting. Providing the guest with a warm atmosphere and cozy surrounding, it will feel like home.
