Volunteer mission in Cameroon

Cameroon is located in west-central Africa along the Gulf of Guinea. Recognized because of its diverse range in tradition, weather conditions and vicinity, it is also given the name as "Africa in miniature". Cameroon's cultural communities have their own particular cultural forms.

They commemorate births, produces in the farms, passing away and various other sacred rites. Song and dance are an important part of the lives of Cameroonians. Story narration, formalities, social interactions are familiar activities. They have all types of musical instruments, drums and flutes being the most favorite.

The households in Cameroon come together for main course large hearty meal traditionally in the night time. The main meals depends on the tribal groups, but rice and yams, cassava, maize, potatoes, fufu (cous-cous) are a part of routine meals. Palm wine and millet beer are beloved refreshments.

Arts and crafts are an asset to Cameroon. They are used for sacrosanct and business requirements. The prevalent faith is Christianity, nonetheless there are several ethnic and religious groups spread out through the location. Schooling is poor in Cameroon. Cultivation and Husbandry are chief jobs in Cameroon.

Why Volunteer in Cameroon? The greatest hardships in Cameroon are associated with poor structure, sub-standard education, orphanages, insufficiency of food, etc. The majority of schools in Cameroon presently has overcrowded lessons and would need more well-versed tutors. The orphan children seek love, care, mentoring and guidance with education and learning. Rendering little ones with the basic skills they must have in life will assist them on their journey to a successful future and free them from poor standards of living, support them provide with the similar alternatives that other young children get.

Volunteering: You can volunteer for foster child homes in Cameroon. Teaching is a good decision. Topics like English, Mathematics, Science, Computer skills, dance, music, games, sports, arts and crafts need specific capabilities which the folks consistently lack owing to the literacy rate.

Aside from that, helping the community farmers with their produce is another option. The region usually belongs to the local orphanages where boys and girls produce their own food. You can assist to with weeding, watering, harvesting.

If you have a medical qualification you would be able to work for in publicizing information related to health conditions such as HIV/AIDS, malaria etc. and teaching the importance of cleanliness of surroundings. You can guide adult women with consulting, maternal care information, provide information against marital violence, consultation of foster families. There are free of cost volunteer schemes and paid volunteer schemes based on what you would like to do.

Volunteering in Cameroon is most likely a unique life experience that a volunteer will always happily be able to tell everyone about.
