Shopping Around For Low Budget Hotel Rooms In Blackpool?

By Douglas Barks

It doesn't matter why you are trying to find cheap accommodation in Blackpool, we will help you find the best bargains there are. Blackpool offers a huge variety of overnight accommodation. So much so, choosing can be really somewhat overwhelming. There are said to be in excess of 3,250 places offering accommodation around Blackpool.

Of course, a lot relies on what is considered "cheap". Certain holidaymakers consider double rooms beneath 60 as cheap, even when others will not want to pay more than twenty pounds per day. The old saying "you only get what you pay for" is definitely true when it is assigned to hotels. My advice is that you aim to allow up to 40 for a room for two people in a low price Blackpool hotel, 20-25 for a room for one. I'd say this will include a breakfast.

The basis of an acceptable hotel room whether it be in Blackpool, Belfast or Bosnia, is that it must be impeccably cleaned. The cost of your hotel bed should not have any affect on this. The lowest priced hotel room in Blackpool should still be as dirt-free as the highest priced. The decor may not be nearly as eye-popping but it should be cleaned to the same high standard.

Most of the less expensive Blackpool hotels actually are B&B's and guesthouses. These are usually run by the family, and will contain up to a dozen rooms for letting. The pros of staying at this kind of accommodation is that they are less impersonal than chain hotels. If anything goes awry, in my experience it's usually put right instantly.

By keeping away from Blackpool town centre, you can get cheaper accommodation. It will be pretty obvious that a room in a guesthouse on the outskirts of town, overlooking a Blackpool alley will be less expensive than a sea-view on the Promenade. These days you can often find a lovely boutique hotel by straying away from Blackpool town centre. Blackpool has got lots of trams, buses and other public transport and it doesn't take long to get from one end of town to the other.

Chain hotels that are now common on every motorway in Britain provide cheap, good quality places to stay. Three brands that will be familiar to most people are Travelodge, Premier Inn and Days Inn. On the open road rooms can start as low as 29 a night, but you'll not find a room in Blackpool at anything like this low. Both Premier Inn and Travelodge have establishments in Blackpool, but here prices start at just under 70.

I hope you have good luck finding your bargain Blackpool hotel. To get the biggest bargains, you've got to be flexible. This includes being flexible on the location you are prepared to stay at and on when you want to stay. To get the best prices you must avoid peak months like August or give up any idea of seeing the sea. Come in October or May and you might be able to get the best room in the house for a fraction of what you'll pay in the summer. Blackpool is simply unique - make it your next destination.
