Finding A Plan For Effective Clear Airport Security

By Greg Diener

One of the biggest problems we face in this country is the numerous problems we have about clear airport security at the terminals. The biggest priority we need to have is to make security the focus at airports, along with having security be aware of the growing problems and threats that face this nation. Security has to protect passengers because if something unpredicted happens, it will cause havoc for numerous travelers around the globe.

Although it is meaningful to help safeguard every tourist to cover them from any harm, there have been an escalating number of problems that we hear at the airport. Not too long ago there was a breach in security at Newark International Airport due to a woman who was incorrectly screened because she had tested positive for residue from an explosive on her hand. It was later found out to be the cause of an oversized bag setting off the alarm for probable explosive material. All this did was cause close to 200 flights to be delayed or cancelled because it caused the airport to go into lockdown for a few hours.

What incidents like the one in Newark do is make individuals mistrust airline security and make them believe that they are incompetent. It gives more of a black eye to the airline industry and security in general. If people feel that security at the airports are operating like a clown college in the way they handle matters than nobody is going to want to travel. That would be a bad thing for the airlines as a whole.

With new methods coming into place like CLEAR a program which scans people's biometrical records for a yearly fee, this could elude problems like the one in Newark. People need to have the ability to fly to where they need to be, but that does not mean that they should be treated like dirt when attempting to reach their plane. If we have more complaints regarding potential security breaches that are not actually breaches, who knows how much more further damage the airlines are going to receive?

Airports have to find a easier way about how they are going to handle protection for all passengers in the future. There has to be more feedback to resolve the dilemmas that we all face as travelers. Nobody wants to be jammed in three-hour security lines without the guarantee if they are even going to reach their flight on-time. Hopefully, with services like CLEAR, answers will be coming to help treat our problems quicker rather than later.
