Have Amazing Haunted Corn Maze Iowa Scares

By Patrice McCoy

Halloween is coming and it seems like every person is on the hunt for that perfect haunt. The great news is that there are so many of these to choose from no matter where a person lives. Most people have at one point or another gone to a haunted house so why not try something new this year. In the Midwest, there are so many cornfields that it makes perfect sense to have a haunted corn maze iowa, Illinois or Ohio.

The people who create these haunted mazes go all out. They try to outdo themselves each year with patterns that are more creative, terrors and spooky fun for all. They even will offer family nights with a little less fright for the little ones and then scarier nights for the older ones.

Often there are festivals paired with hayrides. The corn mazes are often one of the stops on the hayrides. There are also spooky houses to get scared silly by and enjoy the fright. It is fall and harvest relaxation at its best.

It is incredibly smart for people of a certain area to research the history of their area before setting up their haunting. Does the town have a history that contains a creepy accident or tales of ghostly sightings. If they do, it would be perfect to set up the scare around these occurrences.

People work really hard on these and they have grown in popularity due to their hard work. They cannot only be haunted and confusing but they can also appear as a shape from the sky. It is art, horror, and fun all in one.

This is outside so wearing the proper gear will help one to enjoy. Comfortable shoes, long sleeves and long pants are great for starters. Water, snacks and a map are also great to have at one's side as they wend their way through.

If one is going after the sun has gone down, bring a flashlight to help lead the way. The moon will not be enough for one to see deep in the maze. Courage is necessary as well as these can get dark and make people feel vulnerable. A stopwatch is another item that people bring along because many people like to see how fast they can make it through the mazes year after year. There are contests to see who can do it the fastest.

As the family or group of friends wend their way through it is good to remember that often the people who created the mazes will have added smaller mazes within the bigger mazes to figure out. The added challenge of these mini mazes adds fun for one and all.

There are farmers who do this themselves. It takes a lot of planning, strong corn stalks and dedication to create something amazing. The planning should start early. If they feel that they cannot do one themselves there are corporations that will come to the field and create one for them. If one is in the Midwest, going to a haunted corn maze iowa or wherever there is corn will be an exciting adventure for all. Do not miss it!
