Knowing More About Nihon Sankei

By Freddy McCandless

Every one knows about Japan's leading technology and even all of its sky rise buildings. So why not make your way to their so called Nihon Sankei instead? Do remember that this country has beautiful scenery too. So here is a closer look at Nihon Sankei, the three most beautiful places around. You have Matsushima, Miyajima, and even Amanohashidate. Go ahead and read on.

Matsushima

Matsushima Bay is proudly one of the top three scenic areas in Japan. There are over 200 small islets scattered around this bay and all are covered in breathtaking pine trees. It is no wonder that it was able to keep its so called title for over hundreds of years. This is a total tourist hot spot. But definitely the best way to enjoy it is by cruise boat. You may take one that just goes around Matsushima or you can in fact buy tickets for one that will bring to Shingama. But if you are highly up for it, there are much longer ones that will bring you all the way to Oku-Matsushima where nature reigns having only minimal industrial development.

Miyajima

You can take a boat ride that will bring you from Hiroshima to the small island Miyajima. The torii gate is certainly the highlight of this area. This is a grand gate that when the tide is high it seems as it if it is simply floating on the water. It is no wonder that it is part of the top three most scenic spots in Japan. This area is great for everyone, but it is really the perfect escape for couples and lovers. This place is just so tranquil and very intimate. Imagine, this area even has deer.

Amanohashidate

3rd on the list is Amanohashidate. Translated as bridge in heaven, the name alone says a lot. Just imagine a sand bar that is 3.6 kilometers long and is embellished in gorgeous pine trees. So go ahead and journey to the northern Kyoto Prefecture. Folks say that the best area to see Amanohashidate is across on the hills that are on the other side of the bay. When there, you will have to face you back to the bay, bend over, and look at the sand bar between your legs to in fact see the bridge in heaven.
