All About Cayman Airlines And Where It Flies

By Bernice Carlos Xavier

The Cayman Islands are a popular destination for vacationers and business travelers, and Cayman Airways is the signature airline for these Caribbean islands. People visit the Cayman Islands for business reasons as well as to relax on its beaches and enjoy the Caribbean ambiance. No matter what your reason for visiting this incredible part of the world, Cayman Airways can make your trip easier and more pleasant.

Cayman Airways offers frequent flyer miles with a rather different label, called Sir Turtle Rewards. Sir Turtle is the mascot of this airline, probably inspired by the large turtle population of the Cayman Islands. It would be most advantageous to be in this plan if you visit the Caribbean a lot, you can save on your air travel and reap the rewards of upgrades and special treatment when getting on the plane. You can become a member of Sir Turtle Rewards at no cost and will be awarded 1,500 air travel miles when you join. When you become a part of this rewards program, you will have admission to the lounge at Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman, as well as have Business Class registering despite your ticket status.

The Cayman Islands cater to tourists and do everything they can to make them feel welcome, as this is one of the primary industries of these islands. Another option is to embark on side trips to other islands in the vicinity, such as Jamaica. The main landing strip on the Cayman Islands is located at the Owen Roberts International Airport, on Grand Cayman; this is most likely where you will land. Cayman Brac and Little Cayman also have airports, but the bulk of air travelers arrive in Grand Cayman. Even though the Owen Roberts airport is an international strip, other than airports in the Caribbean, it has a fairly restricted list of nonstop flights. Toronto, Heathrow and some destinations in the USA are the only available flights that fly out of and in to. If your destination is the Cayman Islands and you live in a place other that one of these cities, you will be required to change to another airplane at some point in your journey.

One of the pleasures of flying with Cayman Airways is their own style of rum punch served on many flights, and this is also sometimes available to patrons of the food festival. This is the perfect festival for you if you like to sample all kinds of top quality foods from around the world, along with wines. The Caribbean always tends to have a festive atmosphere, and arriving during an event like the Taste of Cayman Food and Wine Festival can make your trip even more pleasurable.

A flight with Cayman Airways can bring you to romantic destinations that you'd otherwise only read about or see in movies. It's unfortunate that many people think of the Cayman Islands as too exotic or expensive to reach, when it's not that hard to get there. It has all of the attractions of other islands with great weather and white beaches, but offering a more private and sophisticated atmosphere. If this sounds like a place you'd like to explore, you should consider flying with Cayman Airways.

Naturally, no trip is whole without sufficient travel insurance. That way you are able to unwind and enjoy your vacation, understanding that things are covered.
