Why Fly In Private?

By Daniel Pott

"Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise it is not luxury." Coco Chanel quotes

"It is impossible to overdo luxury" French Proverb

"Nothing gives me as much pleasure as traveling. I love getting on trains and boats and planes. " Alan Rickman

Let's face it: if traveling is a must, then always go first class. Yes first class can be wonderful on a commercial flight, with everyone staring as you cease at the front of the plane when boarding in lieu of having to go towards the back and sit in of those cramped spaces with everyone else. Exclusivity is always great and nothing says "exclusive" like unapologetic luxury. Chartering a private jet is a superb way of separating the ones who desire the lovely life from the ones who are not afraid to go for it, no apologies given. But why charter a private jet in the first place and secondly, what do you look for when deciding on which company to charter from?

Why go private?

*C-O-N-V-I-E-N-C-E; whatever the client wants, the client gets. If the client wants to leave 10 minutes earlier or later than planned, they can ask for it without worrying about the other passengers. No need for worrying about losing luggage or pets: simply bring them with you onto the plane with you.

*You can't beat the luxury aspect. Big, gorgeous chairs, pretty table settings instead of the TV table set-up and your own stewardesses there to serve you. And whatever you want to eat, it is yours:

Appetizer Escargot Mushrooms

Main Course: Cedar Planked Salmon served with Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes covered with Bacon and Caramelized Onions

Dessert Golden, Warm Plum Souffle

Privacy can help you seal the deal. If you want to spend time with your husband or wife, why not take a trip to Monaco? Sounds great, but would not it be even better to spend time alone on the road to Monaco? Only in a private jet can you embrace each other in a quick flight over the water without causing a spectacle. And some private planes have sleeping spaces, so a husband and wife can be even closer... and everything is done in private.

What is the 411 for booking one?

1. When booking a private charter plane, the company is supposed to help you make the best decision that will benefit you and your needs, not vice versa. If a company tries to get you to do something you do not feel comfortable, politely say no thanks and move on.

2. Always go for the company that can fly from anywhere in the world. When you are spending a nice amount of funds, you ought to be able to get whatever you need. The sky is the limit should not be for how much you spend.

3. Check with reviews and references. You want to know how luggage issues are taken care of, anything you need related and other lost and found items

4. Do they offer transportation to and from landing? Search all the amenities the company has to offer. You are spending top dollar and getting everything you can without additional spending is always a plus.

Summing Up

The saying is that "You get what you paid for"; no truer words could be said when discussing the potential of chartering a private plane. Only get the best and leave the rest alone.
