Turtle Beach Resort, Australia Gold Coast

By Bailey Jamieson

On the Gold Coast of Australia is a fine resort for families, Turtle Beach Resort. Located at Mermaid Beach, guests staying here are close enough to stroll to many attractions. If you brought the car, then there is even more within reach. Go to the resort tour desk to arrange your day or several days traveling between one section of paradise and another.

Your choices are ample and varied. Jupiter casino is close enough to walk there. So is the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, although a car may be more practical than walking. Who knows what you will come back with, especially if you won lots of money at the casino and lots of people back home are hoping for souvenirs. Surfers Paradise, Broad Beach, golfing and theme parks stretch out around your beach front accommodation in all directions.

A good nights rest will be essential to energize for days like these. Get a good nights rest to prepare for any one these days or partial days out. With air conditioning and ceiling lamps in bedrooms, nights will be comfortable no matter the temperature outside. Heating is also provided since evenings can also feel fairly cool, depending on the season. A king-sized bed encourages one to sink down into a cloud of soft linens while watch cable TV on a flat screen TV until sleep comes. Should your home time zone be different from the one here, sleep could take over at any time.

Apartments feature anything from one to four bedrooms, except Executive versions. These contain up to three bedrooms. Let each child have his or her own room or travel with mom and dad, yet without getting in the way of one another or listening to someone snore. Finish your vacation getting along as well as when you started, or better. Having kitchen facilities on hand can make it much easier to satisfy children too excited to sleep. A bit of warm milk can make all the difference.

A name tells you a lot, and in the case of Turtle Beach, is not misleading. A resort should have plenty of opportunities for activity. This one provides for indoor and outdoor fun. Bring coins to play arcade games or table games in their own room and escape heat or bad weather. A small cinema runs three times per day, allowing for nearly thirty people at a time.

Visitors are by the beach, but accommodation facilities include four pools. One of these is long and narrow for swimming lengths while another accommodates kids only. Guests can sink into one of four spas, two saunas or just soak up some sun. Kids are given their own gated area as well as two fun play grounds. Expect tired tots at bed time, just one more way management tries to keep guests happy.

For greater competition challenge your spouse or sporty child to tennis on one of two courts. Guests can also keep-up with work-out routines from home at the fitness center. Athletes can be sure all equipment is up-to-date.

So much activity will have your family craving a good meal at the end of each day. There are nine barbecue areas, meaning mom or dad could light one up and cook dinner al fresco. Within your resort are other eating options, including a cafe and pizzeria plus bar. Adults like their treats too. Also on-site is a convenience store open long hours during the day with the ingredients for a seaside picnic or grilled dinner. Spread a cloth on the sand, bring glasses and plates or napkins, and snack until the stars come out.
