With so many people curious to see these amazing structures up close, there are now all kinds of all inclusive holidays in Greece and Egypt offering tours, but if you want to see the likes of the pyramids or the Greek temples from a more comfortable vantage point, you can... if you book the right hotels!

For a great perspective of ancient Greece, head to Athens and see the amazing temple ruins of the Acropolis, which stands above the city. It's a breathtaking sight to behold, even more so when seen from the Athens Gate hotel, near Plaka (the old town). Forget struggling to climb to the top of the hill to see the Acropolis up close - it is best seen from a distance.

This hotel offers views over the Temple of Olympian Zeus, part of the Acropolis complex which you can see more of from the luxurious roof terrace of the hotel. If you want to splash out on a little added opulence, you can get a room with a private jacuzzi, or you might just like to sit on the terrace and look out at the amazing temple view.

If it's Egypt holidays you want, the head to Cairo and book yourself a room at the Le Meridien Pyramids hotel - a glamorous and lush complex offer all manner of amenities and services. You'll feel like a modern day Pharaoh as you enjoy the beautiful gardens, pools, and entertainment here.

What is really amazing about the hotel, however, is the views of the views of the Great Pyramids of Giza, which loom on the horizon and are visible from many areas of the hotel. With all of this in one place, you may never need to leave the complex!
