By Claire Collins

Everyone loves the idea of jetting off with friends to some sunny destination - yet the cost and stress can become more of a hassle than it's worth. This is why taking a cruise is a better idea. The convenience, value, and range of things to see and do means that everyone in the group will find something to keep them happy.

The sheer number of choices you have, from ports of call to on board entertainment, even down to what to have for breakfast, is vast and sure to keep everyone's holiday spirit up. Booking cruise deals for a group of friends is simply a fantastic way to travel.

While there may be some discussion over budgets and where exactly in the world to go, once you have the basics down, you don't really need to plan everything else. Younger crowds who want to book cruise packages will usually enjoy a beach option. The Caribbean is a great choice if you have a bigger budget, but island hopping around the Canaries or Greece are both great options as well.

The best thing is, once you're on board the ship, you will only have to unpack the once, as you head from holiday hot spot to holiday hot spot! There is a range of cabins available too, so you can either splash out on a balcony cabin, or save your pennies for the port stops, and book an internal cabin instead.

The great thing about booking a cheap cruises is that you can stick to a budget AND be spoiled for choice on how to spend your time. Head out for some karaoke or dancing, go swimming, pamper yourself in the spa, or see a live show.

There are also a number of other exciting excursions - from cave tubing to scuba diving and many other things in between. The best part is that if you all don't want to do the same things you don't have to. You can just go and enjoy your selected adventure for the day, the return to your cruise ship a few hours later and rejoin your group for dinner and an evening of fun.
