Some Golf Courses San Jose, California

By Kathie Sweet

With sunny skies and warm climate, golf courses San Jose can do well. Golfers enjoy taking-up the hobby here. They come as guests or they join as members, depending on how serious they become about the sport.

In exchange for high fees, some clubs are very exclusive. You must buy a membership to play, or come as invited guest with a member. Even immediate family may only be able to tee-off with members during specific times. Book at the club or on-line if possible. Other facilities are more open, encouraging non-members to drop-in for a fun match during their vacation or while out looking for something fun to do.

If you are lucky enough, the golf course may be part of your gated community. Imagine what you want to do when you retire. Then, imagine living in exactly the right place to do it all: golfing, tennis, swimming, everything in your private backyard built for a select few thousand seniors.

Junior players have been thought of too. Have your child sign-up for lessons to develop a skill and passion for the challenge of eighteen holes. He can take part in individual lessons, camps and a league developed just for young players.

The idea of a club house may conjure images of little shacks built in the trees, rope ladder hanging down for child access only. In fact, at a golf course, facilities are often very sophisticated, suitable for hosting major events, intimate dinners or corporate connections. Bring your wedding, reception and a hundred of your closest friends to what is often a stunning location; very green.

Golf facilities are often multi-faceted. Many examples house other fitness amenities like a gym, tennis courts, pools plus restaurant and lounge, ideal for romance or meeting with clients. Depending on how exclusive the course, this could be the home of a fine chef producing elegant cuisine or a snack stand serving refreshments to holiday drop-ins. A pro shop is often on-site to meet needs from clothing to clubs, just in case some part is missing. Dress etiquette is important at a private club after all.

They may be old, existing decades. They could have been established in the past few years. Whichever the case, the green is carefully maintain, scenery often stunning. Think back to televised tournaments over the years and a setting might even look familiar. Consider golf when arranging a fund raising tournament of your own. Or, visit their websites to find out more about seasonal events. You could find a romantic way to spend Christmas or Valentine, arms around your wife while guiding her as to how she should hold her club. Gift certificates make fine presents any time of the year.
