P&O Cruises - Their Five Most Famous Ships

By Gabriel Johnston

P&O Cruises, the biggest cruise company in the UK, own a wide array of cruise ships. Knowing their distinctive features can make choosing between P&O cruise deals even easier.

Ventura - One of the two largest ships owned by P&O Cruises. Ventura is the ship to choose when you want a gourmet experience, as she is home to The White Room, a signature restaurant created by Marco Pierre White. There are also 11 other restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines. With an on-board casino, theatre and cinema, as well as a wide range of fitness facilities including Oasis Spa, Ventura has everything you need for a comfortable cruise.

Azura - Along with her sister ship Ventura, heads the field of P&O's cruise ships. Azura is particularly notable for her three-storey central atrium, where you can shop, browse the art gallery or sit and relax at a cafe. At night, the atrium's dance floor is the romantic heart of the ship.

Oriana - With a distinctive design, Oriana harkens back to the glory days of luxury cruises, making her a perfect choice for P&O cruise deals. A broad teak promenade makes a great place to stroll, while the lido decks and wood-panelled library are ideal for relaxing. From November 2011 Oriana will be exclusively for adults.

Oceana - Home to all of the luxury you'd expect from P&O Cruises, but it's at night that this ship really comes into its own. With bars and clubs flowing throughout the ship, you're spoilt for choice of night life, from the specialist champagne bar to the traditional English pub.

Arcadia - Exclusively for adults, Arcadia makes for the perfect escape from the everyday world. Explore the ship's extensive art collection, enjoy the vista while dining on the Sky Deck, or visit the on-board spa and hydrotherapy pool before taking in an evening show at The Palladium or The Globe.
