Canon EOS Rebel T2i Pros: -- The 18-135mm lens is a wonderful upgrade compared to the normal 18-55mm lens. Particularely if it is your 1st dslr, and you just don't possess a large budget for more lenses. It's also good for trips, shooting pictures of kids, or perhaps in some other situation in which you don't wish to change lenses. - Performance. Minimal shutter lag, wonderful video, great low-light performance. -- Relatively light (around 1 kg / 2 lbs . with lens)
Canon EOS Rebel T2i Cons: -- Cost is somewhat high - but worth it. -- The on board flash isn't ideal. -- No auto-focus while zooming while taking video. -- Focus in live picture mode is a touch too slow.
Photographs: * The Canon EOS Rebel T2i pictures are amazing. The wide range ISO and sizable screen helps make reviewing pictures a breeze.
Video: * Video is among the strongest features of the Canon EOS Rebel T2i. I invested in this to provide a supplementary video camera. We have found that the dslr does some things better than my HD video camera and a few not quite as well. The majority of my test footage is actually extremely good. Canon EOS Rebel T2i can take very beautiful video! There's a catch however; its very difficult to manipulate during filming. Zooming, focus tracking, and altering exposure are all almost impossible to do smoothly when recording video because it is simply not set up to be a dedicated camcorder. Sound recording is passible for casual recording but not quite fine enough for specialized work.
