It was initially established by the Dutch East India Company as a supply post for Dutch ships going to East Africa, India and the Far East. Cape Town is the provincial and governmental capital and home to the National Parliament and other government bureaus. Cape Town has the second largest population and is the largest in the area. It has attractions such as Table Mountain and Cape Point and also the harbor, Point of Cape Town.
