By Gwen Lowe

Gymnastics can have a lot of benefits. For children it is a great form of exercise. As well as balance beams, rings and so forth you should also check that they have up to date first aid equipment and that the instructors have the relevant training as well.

If you feel your child has a talent then it is worth considering additional classes. In some cases they may be able to attend additional and more advanced tutoring. For other children it could include one on one personal tuition to ensure that they get the best possible instruction to help them develop their skills and compete on a higher level.

You can find numerous classes online. It helps to check as many as possible in your local area. Things You Should Consider Before A Nascar Simulator

By Jaclyn Hurley

People always liked to have one of those NASCAR games more than playing it. This idea can be backed up by the enticing playing environment and the realistic effect of the game to its players. The music, sound, and graphical effects kept players from racing over and over again. However, if you are planning to own one you might be confused which version to choose. Hold your horse, and check some these factors you should not overlook.

Before anything else, check how much the Nascar Simulator cost and if it is worth buying. There can be many things you must check but prioritize accuracy, technology, reliability, and quality. The price of the game can always be waived but the value cannot be. If you are thinking that all the qualities are top notch, then it would be your own discretion to put the price last as a consideration.

Simulator controls can come second most important after quality. This type of game depends heavily on the smoothness of the controls. That is why it is essential to test the receptivity of the simulator before paying for it. Considering such factors, you need to examine the control mechanisms including gears, brakes, and wheels. Ensure these are working in its optimum state so you can have good gaming experience.

This must also be ugradable and easy to customize. Make sure that it will accept updates to avoid spending extra for jailbreaking. In addition, check if the programmers are reputable people.

These updates should also enable customization in many of its structures to keep the simulator interesting. Moreover, updates should come from dedicated developers and these must be released as frequent as possible. This will indicate that the game will not get obsolete and will not face software issues in the future.

It is also an additional benefit if the game chosen allows joysticks and keyboard control. It should come with a manual about setting it or resetting it in case needed. Many times, we take our problems to the service center or call tech support when it can be easily done with a manual. This will save time and energy if it has a user friendly manual.

As as whole, there are various versions made by different developers. This is why you must get picky when trying to chose one. Others might look excellent physically but have negative customer reviews. In fact, there are companies willing to sugarcoat some features for the sake of selling so be smart when buying one.

Furthermore, you may want to race with your pals and family aside from solo playing. Considering this, you have to know how many players it can allow and if multiplayer option is enabled. This is another important thing you must look into before taking that Nascar game home.

In time, you should be thinking of investing your money on a game you found worth it. Remember, always take your time when buying and leave options open to the last minute. It will not be that easy but if know what you needed, you can have a smooth digital shopping experience.

Incredible Encinitas Beaches

By Terry Hunefeld

Just what is it about Encinitas that makes it so fascinating, so special? Yes, its a gorgeous little beach town, but what makes it so very different from other beach towns in San Diego county? The answer is, in part, the fact that Encinitas is still lost in time " back in the 1960s " when California was a simpler place. But you can still experience some of that feel by visiting the following must see places:

1. Where Else In California Can You Take A Walk In A Rainforest?

Lovely Quail Botanical Gardens is less than a mile from the Pacific Ocean with more than 32 acres full of endangered and extraordinary plants from all around the world. Tours and nature walks each day take visitors down the wonderfully scenic trails (with killer views of the ocean!), through totally unique tropical gardens, arid desert gardens, enormous bamboo groves, California native plant gardens, a rainforest with its own waterfall, Mediterranean gardens, tropical fruit gardens and a unique children's garden. At once beautiful and serene, Quail Gardens is a place to spend an entire day simply enjoying nature in all its splendor.

2. Yes, You CAN Learn To Surf

Kahuna Bobs Surf School has been a local legend for nearly 25 years. His distinctive and engaging teaching style puts brand new surfers at ease during his group or private instruction. In 2009, the City awarded Kahuna Bob with an exclusive surf-lesson license at the best beginner surfing beach in Encinitas, Beacons Beach, where the waves break perfectly for beginning surfers.

3. Become A Beach Boy (or Beach Girl)

World renown Swamis Beach was made famous in 1963 by the Beach Boys hit song Surfin USA. Only two blocks from downtown on U.S. Highway 101, Swamis still draws the finest surfers in the world on a daily basis, making for wonderful watching from the cliffs above. A mammoth wooden staircase with built-in benches takes you down to the beach. The picnic tables along the cliff edge at the top are a breathtaking spot to sit and take in the sweeping views of the ocean and witness phenomenal surfing feats.

4. Watch A Movie In An Authentic Movie House

Do you remember what the old-time movie theaters felt like? You can relive that experience by taking in a film at La Paloma Theatre. They offer a bit of everything from first-run movies to art movies (think Rocky Horror Picture Show) plus surfing and snowboarding film premieres. La Paloma was built in the 1920s and takes you back in time. Plus, the popcorn is to die for.

5. Meditate At An Authentic Temple

Swami Yogananda came to town in 1936 and built the Self-Realization Temple on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. His philosophy of love and introspection still attracts thousands of followers from around the world. The beautiful Self-Realization Fellowship grounds " lush gardens and Koi ponds " are open to the public each day. Here you can walk, meditate, breathe deeply and put life into perspective " the only sounds you might hear are singing birds and the pounding of the surf on the cliffs below.

6. The Best Beach To Work On Your Tan

The most popular beach in all of North County San Diego is Moonlight Beach, just two blocks from downtown - its a wonderful spot to soak up sun, enjoy a picnic, play volleyball, surf, boogie-board, body surf, read a book, watch other people people-watch or simply take it easy. Its a state park complete with plenty of parking, fine life guard stations, beach-gear rentals, showers, playground, snack and lunch shop and even fire-rings on the beach where you and your friends can enjoy bonfires late into the night.

7. Relax In Your Private Hot Tub And Watch The Sun Set

The Inn at Moonlight Beach is a romantic Bed and Breakfast Inn overlooking the Pacific Ocean. No other B&B Inn is so close to the beach. The lovely rooms and suites remind you of a French-European Seaside Inn. The Penthouse Suite has a private balcony over-looking the Pacific Ocean with its own very private hot tub making for spectacular romantic sunsets.

How Not To Go Tubing In Vang Vieng

By Jonny Blair

Things on our travels don't always go well and here is my story of how NOT to go tubing in Vang Vieng in Laos - yes it's a great place but there are dangers and things can just go horribly wrong...I'm advising travellers to stay safe and careful!

Arriving in Vang Vieng you can feel the buzz about the place - it's a mad place to party. You will meet new friends and drink and party the night away in the many bars there. But be aware that you will be wakening up the next morning to go tubing - know your limits!

After the night up, it was up and ready for a crazy day of tubing. Everything was going well and a truck took us to the first bar of the tubing.

What followed was just an awesome few hours. I met tons of new people and we were having fun, "tubing" but hold on...we weren't really tubing yet. We had played mud volleyball, danced away and thrown frisbees at cans. It was time to go tubing. You might have heard that "tubing" is really just drinking, and that proved to be the case. You will spend more time in the bars than on the tubes.

Earlier in the day I had bought a green waterproof "Tubing Bag" for my wallet and my camera (plus one spare memory card). That was all I needed for the day - wallet and camera. The stupidest thing I did was I brought ALL my cards and money with me (including my Hong Kong ID card and my currency in HK Dollars, US Dollars and Laos Kipp). The reason I brought it all was I didn't trust leaving it in the hostel. First mistake was bringing it all with me. Second mistake was buying that green bag. By the time bar four arrived, as I was reeling myself in on the tube, I got distracted by a stupid green bottle on a rope which I thought was my waterproof bag. As I reached for it, I lost my way into the bar and turned round to swim across. It all happened very quick and the currents on the stream are fast, believe me. Once something disappears down the river, it's gone. My green waterproof bag (which was attached round my neck) had disappeared forever.

I lost my money, credit cards and ID cards as well as my camera, all in the quest to reach another bar to drink more alcohol. Crazy. I met my mate Chaz again though but it was a bad idea taking the green waterproof bag with me.

My mate Chaz bought me a drink in that next bar as did an Irish girl and then I drank water, grasping a pair of flip flops and my travelling Northern Ireland flag. It was odd to me.

While my camera and wallet were busy floating away on the Nam Song, I managed to grasp on and keep a flag (my travelling Northern Ireland flag) and a pair of flip flops. I didn't even want the flip flops. Later I would learn I also picked up an ear infection from swimming in vain after a wallet I couldn't even see. I had lost my entire money for this trip. I was lucky my passport was back at the hostel and that I was safe and well.

By the time I was in the third bar I wanted just to go home, I had lost everything and couldn't even pay for a ride home. It was now almost dark.

A local Laos girl called Micky runs over to me and asks what the problem is. "I have nothing left here - any chance of a lift back to Vang Vieng?" I said and the heroine that she was she headed over to a remote garage, pulled out a scooter, told her friends she was giving me a lift and on the back of the scooter I went, flying through the rainy, wet, drizzly Laos countryside wondering what the hell I had done today. I wanted to give up travel in an instant. That was it - I was done with travel. I didn't even have any money now - to pay the hostel or to get out of Vang Vieng. A popular Norwegian, Arnie's Hostel Nam Song Gardens was next door to mine and I sat with him, he gave me a free beer and listened to my story. We'll end things there, how did I recover and ever want to travel again after this? And how did I get money to stay the night and continue my trip? A story for another day, my friends...

By the way you can get all sorts of drinks and drugs in Vang Vieng and on the tubing. People walk around drinking mushroom shakes and are off their heads on drugs.

Lessons to learn about the dangers of tubing in Vang Vieng, LAOS:

- ONLY take money with you. BELIEVE ME - that's all you need!!

- NEVER take a camera (it will either get destroyed or lost. Others will have cameras - ask for their photos.

- NEVER buy or take a useless waterproof bag!

- Try not to drink too much alcohol (easier said than done)

- Don't take drugs

So in closing, head to Vang Vieng and enjoy it, but BE CAREFUL! People die in the river ever year, at least I survived, at the end of the day, it's only money...

It's still a great town though!

Enjoy your trips!

Enjoy your time in Vang Vieng...

Jonny Blair

Great Activities Every Guest Must Do While Visiting La Jolla

By Terry Hunefeld

San Diego is often called America's finest city - and La Jolla is the gem of San Diego - a beautiful community situated along San Diego's Pacific Coast. People flock to La Jolla, captivated by its trendy boutique-lined streets gemmed with art, clothing, jewelry, gifts and other shopping destinations. Indulgent soft sand beaches, amazing weather, laid back people and an abundance of activities make La Jolla a visitor's paradise. Here are five activities that should not be missed.

Originally designed as a safe place for children to wade, Children's Pool is a man-made pool-into-the-ocean that one was a children's beach but is now a famous haven for wild Harbor Seals. Visitors enjoy venturing out along a cement walkway over the water to watch the seals and their youngsters lounging, playing and slipping away into the ocean. Nearby, you will find the beautiful La Jolla Cove bathing beach and tide pools.

La Jolla is home to one of the most spectacular waterfronts in Southern California, complete with remarkable caves, rugged sandstone cliffs, soft sandy beaches and picturesque sunsets. La Jolla Cove is a protected marine sanctuary with an idyllic crescent of sandy beach sheltered from the ocean waves. The Cove is a wonderful place for swimming, snorkeling or just people watching. Continuing south you'll pass through the grassy Scripps Park- a staging area for family picnics, Fourth of July fireworks and free summer concerts.

A visit to The Cave Store affords visitors the opportunity to descend a 100 year old stairway, into a manmade tunnel, down into the fascinating and mysterious Sunny Jim Cave - the largest of several ocean caves in La Jolla Cove. The cave's first owner, Sunny Jim, hired two Chinese laborers in the early 1900's to dig this underground tunnel down to the cave. Using only picks and shovels, they carried all the dirt out by hand. In the 1910's, the only way the public could get to the cave was by lowering themselves down a rope. Today, you can take 145 stairs from The Cave Store. Sunny Jim Cave is the only sea cave in California that you can enter from a stairway.

Mount Soledad has the best drive-up views of San Diego. Take Nautilus Street up to the park at the top where you are met with incredible views. On a clear day you can look north along the coast into Orange County or south into Mexico. The park is home to an enormous cross that looks majestically down from the mountain, visible from more than 10 miles away. Interestingly, Mount Soledad holds the last home lived in by Dr. Seuss. His widow, Audrey Geisel still lives on Mt. Soledad in an abandoned observation tower that is referred to as "the Seuss House" by local residents.

Situated over the ocean on sandstone bluffs north of La Jolla, between Torrey Pines Park and La Jolla Farms, The Torrey Pines Gliderport is designated specifically for today's gliders. On days when the winds are just right, gliders line the cliffs, waiting for the perfect gust to carry them into the sky. The graceful navigators riding the sea breezes in their brightly colored gliders attract admiring spectators up and down the Torrey Pines shoreline year-round. You can fly like a bird by going tandem with an instructor after a 30-minute ground school, then up and away off the edge of a 300 foot cliff out over the ocean, a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
