South America has held the interest of travelers from around the globe for hundreds of years due to its friendly residents, stunning scenery, and natural and cultural wonders. Whether one is interested in history and architecture, wildlife, snorkeling and scuba diving, relaxing on the beach, or hiking through tropical rain forests, South America travel destinations can be found to please virtually anyone.

The continent itself is vast, and there is such a high number of ideal vacation destinations in this region of the world that numerous people find the possibilities overwhelming. Here, one can horseback ride against the backdrop of forests, glaciers, and other impressive scenery, or spend the day touring one of the many museums located in the area. One will also find a vast array of nightclubs and restaurants throughout the many lively cities in Argentina and Chile.
