Save Money on Holidays at Disney World in Florida

By Steve Alexander

A trip to Disney World in Florida is always a memorable experience. It can also be pretty expensive however, but luckily there are plenty of ways to save money, whilst still enjoying an amazing holiday.

It's a lot cheaper to stay slightly outside of the parks, although the hotels within the Disney resort are tempting. Hotels here also offer shuttle buses to the parks so you don't have to worry about the expense or hassle of hiring a car. Don't worry about it affecting your 'Disney experience', as after all, you'll be spending all day in the parks and it might be nice to have a little break!

Another money saving tip is buying tickets in advance, as it can save you a fortune. There are always deals available, so it's wise to research before you book flights as it can affect how long you decide to go for. Hopper tickets are a great buy as well, because it gives you the ability to visit more than one park in a day.

If you want to keep track and manage your expenses while you're out there, working out a budget before you go is a good idea. Whilst you're trying to have fun, it also means that you don't have to worry so much about finances. It will become a lot clearer when you set out exactly what you have to spend each day.

On top of the flights, hotels and park tickets, food and drink are another big expense. A great idea is to take a trip to the local supermarket and stock up on snacks and drinks to carry in a backpack. To keep the drinks cool all day, pop a few bottles of water in the freezer the night before and they will keep chilled throughout the day as they melt.
