Info On Picking A Hotel That Has A Bar Area

If you are looking for a cheap London hotel, you can also find many that have a bar. Here you can have a drink after a busy day taking in all the city has to offer. You can find many in the centre of the city.

The changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace usually takes place on Monday mornings. From here, you may want to take a stroll in St James' Park, which is a very short walk away from london kings cross hotels. This is one of London's many Royal parks.

Bond Street, with its exclusive shops favoured by the rich and famous is a short walk away. You could shop for high couture or designer jewellery. Gentlemen can also have a suit made to measure by an experienced tailor.

However, if you are on a budget, you could walk to Oxford Street around the corner from Bond Street. This is London's main shopping area, including plenty of large department stores. There are many bus stops on this street from where you could hop on a sightseeing tour of the city.

You may want to stop at the London Eye. If you are not scared of heights, you can take a ride in this and take in some wonderful views of the city from 443 feet high. This giant ferris wheel was built to commemorate the millennium. Near the Eye there are many attractions, including an aquarium. The nearest Underground station is Waterloo, and from here you can get the Eurostar and be in the centre of Paris in just over two hours.

There are plenty of museums you can visit in the capital of the United Kingdom. Most offer free entrance to then main exhibits. The Museum of Natural History is famous the world over, as its boasts the complete skeleton of a dinosaur.

Just across the road from this is the Science Museum. It also offers free entrance, and there are some very interesting scientific instruments from a bygone era on display. There are also interactive displays for children.

The wax statues at Madame Tussauds are famous the world over. The models of famous people from past and present are very lifelike. If you like astronomy, you could also visit the Planetarium, which is next door.

The capital of Britain has a long history, and you will find lots of architecture to admire. The Palace of Westminster started to take shape nearly one thousand years ago, and is now the seat of the British government. You may also enjoy visiting Westminster Abbey, which has hosted plenty of royal weddings throughout history.

Tower Bridge is one of the capital's major landmarks. The Tower itself was once used as a prison, and held the likes of Anne Boleyn and Mary Queen of Scots, both of whom were executed here. If you like royal history, you will also like to see Windsor Castle, which is another of the Queen's residences. It is situated on the outskirts of the capital, in the picturesque village of Windsor.

A cheap hotel London is an excellent base to explore all the city has on offer. Quite a few are centrally located, or close to public transport. There is so much to do in this capital, which also has an excellent transport system to get you out and about. Your visit need not cost a fortune.
