Here's What You Should See When You Go to Antarctica.

While not high on most people's list of vacation destinations, Antarctica offers a lot of engaging spots to visit. Here are a few of them:

Drake Passage - named for famed English navigator Sir Francis Drake. It features islands blanketed in snow and teeming with wildlife. The area can be experienced by little boat, which allows you to better view the seals, albatrosses, and seabirds.

King George Island - the largest in the South Shetlands. It is home to the southernmost lighthouse in the world, the Arctowski Lighthouse. King George Island is legendary for its stunning perspectives.

Neko Bay - renowned for its spectacular glaciers, it's also home to an enormous array of wildlife. You can see humpback whales and leopard seals in Neko Bay. It's also a place to go hiking or climbing on the ice, if you so desire.

Petermann Island - in the southern area of the continent, it is legendary for its ice formations. It also houses a large colony of Adelei penguins. Visitors enjoy hiking around, and viewing the impressive ice formations.

Cuverville Island - home to the Gentoo penguins. It is a rocky area on the north-facing side of the Errera Channel. When the weather permits, it is an delightful place to cruise by for some sight-seeing.

Antarctica remains one of the most spotless natural landscapes left today. There are many things to do and see here. A trip to Antarctica is certain to provide a glorious holiday.
