Where to Eat Out in MAjorca

If you are a fan of fine cuisine, you are likely to have enjoyed a Mediterranean dish or two. Majorca is a popular holiday destination with its beautiful landscapes and gorgeous climate. However, the cuisine is also one of the highlights of the island. After a long day laying by the pool at your hotel and having lunch at your hotel, you may wish to explore the local area and enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants, or cellars; a name for traditional Majorcan restuarants. Let's take a look at some of the more popular cellars here.

Simply Fosh. A basic version of Marc Fosh's cuisine, dining here is considerably more affordable. There is a sun terrace and Mediterranean cuisine that everyone can appreciate. Set right in the heart of Palma, the menu offers simple yet creative dishes using a combination of local, seasonal and fresh ingredients. The surroundings are modern and stylish with a contemporary interior.

Sa Rotanta Restaurant. If you are the kind of eater who believes that breakfast is the most important part of the day and prefer not to be limited by quantity, the breakfast buffet will be heaven for you as it is just as much about quality as quantity. The gourmet lunch is equally not to be missed. You can taste their wonderful, fresh produce over a business lunch or with your partner in the company of the water fountain in the outside patio area.

Port Petit. The open-air terrace offers you wonderful views which overlook the harbour. Famed for its Mediterranean cuisine, they have actually earned quite a reputation, even in some of the major gastronomic guides. The service is first-class, the food, out of this world and the desserts are to die for.

Bens d' Avall. They offer a diverse menu made up of quality dishes. The wine list features a long line of quality wines and as you would expect from a restaurant set on a hilltop, the views are magnificent.
