The pants for hockey also provide important protection. The pants that are designed to pad against collides, falls, and puck and stick hits are called breezers. When simple padding could have prevented the injury, being sidelined is even more painful. Your tailbone should be adequately protected by rear padding in these pants too. Tailbones are easily bruised and/or broken on the ice and it's no laughing matter. In addition to being quite painful, it can take you out of the game for while. When your tailbone is injured, the hockey bench is definitely not your friend.

It's really important to have good gloves for the game of hockey. When it comes to hockey, hands are important and gloves prevent injuries to your hand. Hands are made up of many small bones that are shockingly easy to break. These bones often require a lengthy healing period. You must make sure you have a good fit for your hand when it comes to hockey gloves. Loose fitting gloves often prove difficult to keep on your hands. This makes proper stick handling difficult. You will be distracted by loose-fitting gloves as well.
